Welcome to the Wednesday edition of the daily fantasy hockey morning coffee. I hope your halloween went well whether you were walking with your kids or pounding beers behind the bowling alley — both are memory makers.   Tonight we have a mid-week five-game slate that features a McDavid vs. Crosby matchup in what should be a great game and some other nice options around the NHL.

Tonight’s slate:

Philadelphia Flyers @ Chicago Blackhawks (Chicago, -140, 5.5 over/under)
Pittsburgh Penguins @ Edmonton Oilers (Edmonton, -120, 6 over/under)
Toronto Maple Leafs @ Anaheim Ducks (Anaheim, -108, 5.5 over/under)
New Jersey Devils @ Vancouver Canucks (Vancouver, -120, 5.5 over/under)
Nashville Predators @ San Jose Sharks  (San Jose, -125, 5.5 over/under)

The game I really want to target is the Pittsburgh vs. Edmonton game tonight — and I want both sides of this one as I think we’ll see a high scoring game. Pittsburgh has allowed a league third-worst 3.85 goals against per game and seven goals against on Oct. 29. Pittsburgh has a CA/60 of 62.96, a league-high 33.16 SCA/60 and have a league third-highest HDCA/60 of 12.59. Edmonton should get plenty of scoring chances tonight.

In terms of SCF/60 Edmonton has a league-high number of 37.17 and a league-high HDCF/60 of 15. While I do want shares of both teams I’m going to lean on Edmonton more — and if you made me pick just one I’d go with Edmonton tonight. Of course this comes with the cavaet that Edmonton has a scored a league-worst 2.20 goals for per game and have allowed a league ninth-highest 3.30 goals per game. Eventually the tide will turn for Edmonton and I’d rather be out in front of that wave rather than chasing it.

Leon Draisaitl has a career shooting percentage of 13.7 percent and last season had a shooting percentage of 16.9. He currently has a shooting percentage of just 5.9 percent — the hope is as we see (hopefully) his shooting percentage get back to his career norm we see an overall rise Edmonton’s production.
