Calgary Flames @ Detroit Red Wings (even, 5.5 over/under)
New York Rangers @ Chicago Blackhawks (Chicago, -130, 6 over/under)
Boston Bruins @ Anaheim Ducks (Anaheim, -125, 5.5 over/under)
The game I have the most interest in tonight is the New York Rangers at the Chicago Blachawks. While both of these teams are certainly in play in tournaments — and I like the 6 over/under we’re seeing — I will lean more on the Rangers tonight. The Rangers have won six straight games and have scored five or more goals in three of those six games. Additionally, New York has found the back of net eight times on the power play over their current win streak. On the season New York has scored a league seventh-best 3.33 goals for per game and have the third-best power play in terms of percentage with a power play unit clicking at a rate of 25.8 percent. On the season the Rangers have a HDCF/60 of 14.23 — highest in the NHL.
The Blackhawks have lost three of their last four games including a 7-5 loss at the hands of New Jersey on Nov. 12. Alex DeBrincat has been a bright spot recently with three goals and an assist over his past two games. The nineteen year old offers some nice value tonight if you’re looking for a spot to save some salary. The Blackhawks have a SCA/60 of 30.91 — fifth-highest in the NHL — and a HDCA/60 of 12.69 — third-highest in the league. New York should get plenty of scoring chances tonight and recently they have been putting those chances away.
