Welcome to the Thursday edition of the daily fantasy hockey morning coffee. Tonight we have an eight-game slate to work with for our DFS needs. There are three games I want to target when constructing my lineups:

Winnipeg Jets @ Pittsburgh Penguins (Pittsburgh, -230, 6 over/under)
Dallas Stars @ Minnesota Wild (Minnesota, -200, 5.5 over/under)
Vancouver Canucks @ St. Louis Blues (St. Louis, -200, 5 over/under)

The first game I want to target is the Winnipeg Jets at the Pittsburgh Penguins. Pittsburgh continues to be one of the highest scoring teams in the NHL this month with 21 goals in six games. Over their past 10 home games they have a SCF/60 rate of 31.79 — third-higest in the NHL (according to naturalstattrick). Pittsburgh’s HDCF/60 over their last 10 games at home is a healthy 12.64 — seventh-highest in the league.

By contrast, Winnipeg has allowed 23 goals over their past three games, and their 3.83 goals against in February is the third-highest in the league. Overall, on the road, Winnipeg has allowed the sixth-most goals against per game with a 3.23 goals against per game average. While they are coming off a 5-2 win over Dallas on Tuesday, prior to that they were on a four-game losing streak where they simply allowed the goals to pour in:

Feb. 4: 5 goals against
Feb. 7: 4 goals against
Feb. 10: 5 goals against
Feb. 11: 4 goals against
Feb. 14: 2 goals against
