Welcome to the Thursday edition of the daily fantasy hockey morning coffee. Tonight we have a tidy six-game slate to work through to construct our DFS lineups. There are three games I want to attack tonight for the backbone of many of my rosters tonight:
Arizona Coyotes @ Chicago Blackhawks (Chicago, -260, 5.5 over/under)
New York Rangers @ Toronto Maple Leafs (Toronto, -115, 6 over/under)
Colorado Avalanche @ Nashville Predators (Nashville, -270, 5.5 over/under)
Perhaps the most clear cut team to lean on tonight is the Chicago Blackhawks. Tonight they are home against the lowly Arizona Coyotes. This month, once again, Arizona finds themselves among the worst in the NHL with 3.11 goals against per game. On the season Arizona has been the second-worst road team in terms of goals against per game with a rate of 3.46. Over their past 10 games Arizona has league second-worst SCA/60 rate of 32.4. By contrast, Chicago has scored the most goals per game this month with 4.25 — for a total of 34 goals scored. On the season Chicago has averaged three goals scored per game.
There are two lines I am interested in for tournaments:
Line 1: Nick Schmaltz $3.3K / Jonathan Toews $7.3K / Richard Panik $4.3K
Line 2: Artemi Panarin $6.6K / Artem Anisimov $6.1K / Patrick Kane $8.2K
Duncan Keith will man the point on Chicago’s first power play unit and he makes for a great play tonight. Arizona only has a 76.7 percent penalty kill rate over their past nine games played.
The second team I want plenty of shares of
