Welcome to the Tuesday, March 14 version of the daily fantasy hockey morning coffee. Today we have a nice nine-game slate to work with for our daily fantasy hockey purposes. But it is a slate we have to be careful with as FanDuel posted the following last night, “ALERT: A winter storm is forecasted throughout the East Coast on Tuesday, March 14th. For one day NBA and NHL contests, if a game is postponed to a later date or called off for any reason, any players you have selected for that game will receive zero points.” Keep your eye on any announcements throughout the day on teams that may be affected by the March storm.

As for myself, I’m hoping to keep power long enough to get some lineups in action tonight. Listening to the local weather in my little neck of the woods here in central Massachusetts it sounds as if they’re preparing us for some time without power. Don’t worry, I have milk and bread … and beer.

There are some nice options tonight and the top teams I’ll look to stack are:

Toronto Maple Leafs @ Florida Panthers (Florida, -120, 5.5 over/under)
Winnipeg Jets @ New Jersey Devils (even, 5.5 over/under)
Dallas Stars @ Edmonton Oilers (Edmonton, -170, 5.5 over/under)

This slate is probably the slate where I differ the most from the Vegas odds in terms of teams I like for stacks.
