Welcome to Friday edition of the daily fantasy hockey morning coffee. We end the week with just a four-game slate to work with for our daily fantasy hockey needs. But there are two teams I think stand out as teams we can look to as the basis for our roster construction tonight.

New York Islanders @ Pittsburgh Penguins (Pittsburgh, -170, 6 over/under)
San Jose Sharks @ Dallas Stars (San Jose, -135, 5.5 over/under)

The first team I want plenty of shares of are the Pittsburgh Penguins. Tonight Pittsburgh gets a New York team that has allowed a league third-worst 3.38 goals against per game since the All-Star break. This month, covering the span of 11 games, New York has allowed a league-worst 37 goals against. Over their past 10 games the Islanders have a SCA/60 rate of 32.68 — third-worst in the league — and their HDCA/60 of 13.17 over their past 10 games is fourth-worst in the league. Over their past 10 games New York has a CF% of just 48.18 percent. Combine that with the fact New York has an abysmal team save percentage of just .895 percent over their past 11 games and you have the recipe for a big game for Pittsburgh.

And we would be remiss not go through some of the numbers on the Pittsburgh end. Since the All-Star break Pittsburgh has scored a league fourth-best 3.26 goals for per game. This month, over the course of 11 games, Pittsburgh has scored a league-best 3.45 goals for per game. Over their past 10 games Pittsburgh has a SCF/60 rate of 29.19 — second-best in the NHL — and their HDCA/60 rate of 14.34 is also good for second-best in the NHL over their past 10 games. Per Corsica,  If we take the sample size down to the past 11 games, Pittsburgh has an xGF/60 of 3.50.
