We may finally enter a Sunday morning without an active threat of a game being moved — “active,” because we remain on-watch for any last-minute news — but we also have a generally lighter schedule. To our own surprise, we actually love a handful of matchups on the main slate and found it comparatively easy to make a lineup.

Based on our expected Week 6 DFS game flow analysis and Week 6 Games to Target published earlier, we can carry our thoughts into actual lineup positions. The long list of players that fit the requirements set forth by the projected flow of the game was cut dramatically by the requirements set forth by salaries.

Below are Sporfolio’s DFS Week 6 Plays:

Quarterback

Matthew Stafford – There are few quarterbacks in the league that have provided a safer floor for fantasy scoring than Matthew Stafford. In every game this season, Stafford has attempted at least 30 passes, threw for at least 200 yards and threw at least one touchdown pass. All of that has added up to Stafford reaching at least 17 fantasy points in each of his games, with his scoring increasing each week. While all of that is valuable, we don’t make recommendations just solely based on a player being “safe”. Stafford has tremendous upside this week against a Jaguars defense that ranks last in the league in net yards per pass attempt. Add in in the fact that the Lions’ defense should allow plenty of points themselves and you get an easy path to a big game for Stafford coming out of the Lions’ bye week.

Gardner Minshew – We weren’t aiming for a ‘full-game stack’ — and we technically can’t with two quarterbacks listed — but it’s clear that the game between the Jacksonville Jaguars and Detroit Lions has our attention. Minshew has all of the same positives as the aforementioned Stafford, but he also adds in a little production from his legs — he’s second on the team with 18 rushing attempts and 87 yards on the year. Possibly the best part about Minshew is that he burned many fantasy owners in his Week 3 dud against the Dolphins, and it could lead to fewer people relying on him again.

Deshaun Watson – This shouldn’t be a complete surprise. Last week, we loved the idea of playing Houston Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson under a new head coaching regime, and we were rewarded by nearly 30 fantasy points — on DraftKings. He may not reach the 350 passing mark again on Sunday, but the same benefits apply to Watson now as they did last week. That is, his team is clinging to life and his new coach would wise to lean on Watson to try to pull off a miracle and claw back into the playoff race. The Tennessee Titans have allowed the fourth-most yards-per-game in the league.
