Some stars on contending teams are going down and going down fast. Jackie Bradley Jr. heads to the 10 Day DL with a sprained thumb. This is a massive blow for the Red Sox as JBJ was playing great and the team is hot right now. A huge series coming up this weekend against the Yankees the Red Sox will need players like Moreland to step up. Along with JBJ, Cubs 3B Bryant is now DTD after being hit by a pitch. The Cubs need all of their fire power down the stretch, losing Bryant is huge. He is only Day to Day but if he goes to the DL it could be detrimental to the Cubs.

Low-Scoring Plays
New York Yankees @ Detroit Tigers- The Tigers were shut down last night by Tanaka and tonight they have Severino going. Severino has been solid this year for the Yankees and is a play that I love today. The Yankees were able to score runs yesterday, Sanchez hit a bomb and the offense looked great. Judge didn’t strike out to break the streak at 37 games. Look for this to be a turning point for him and for him to get back to his ways.

Boston Red Sox @ Cleveland Indians- Doug Fister showed up to play last night for the Sox as he threw a complete game one hitter. Today it is Kluber vs Pomeranz, they have similar records on the year and looks to be the pitching match ip of the day. With JBJ going down I like Kluber in this game. Pomeranz has turned his Boston career around this year but the Indians are a good team, won’t be shut down two days in a row, and the Kluber is filthy. All the stars are aligning for the Indians to win this one.

High-Scoring Plays
Arizona Diamondbacks @ New York Mets-I love the Diamondbacks all over this series and I love anyone playing the Mets for the rest of this year. Matz is done for the year the Mets should just shut down deGrom and get ready for next year. No reason to have him go out there and maybe get hurt. Tonight Chris Flexen gets the call for the Mets who is 2-2 which is better than I thought he would be to be honest. However the Diamondbacks have fire power so it is not shaping up well for Flexen today. Again Goldschmidt is a great play today just as I picked yesterday.

Marlins @ Phillies- A Divison match up here between the Marlins who are a team that I see a lot of potential with and are a couple of moves away this offseason from being an interesting team. The Phillies, well they have work to do. The worst team in baseball I don’t see how the Phillies even compete is this game. Stanton homered last night, he will do it again tonight, the man can’t be stopped. It has been a while since we’ve seen a home run hitter like Stanton. Yeah there are 40 home run guys but they aren’t massive people like Bonds was or McGuire was- yeah they took steroids but still. Stanton and Judge, massive humans, are good for baseball.

Under-Value Plays
Morrero-BOS-UTL- Morrero will be some where in the Boston infield as JBJ heads to the DL and Holt will go to the out field. Morrero came up earlier this year had some success and had some struggles. The Red Sox are hitting well right now so no pressure will be on him. Kluber will work around Benintendi and the other sluggers to get to players like Morrero. He can’t afford to walk Morrero so there should be some pitches to hit.
Simmons-LAA-SS- Simmons is hitting just under .300 on the year with 13 home runs. A game against Texas this could get high scoring. Pujols is swinging the bat well of late, and we know what Trout is doing. Look for Simmons to atleast score some runs in not drive some in his self.
Judge-NYY-OF-Judge is $4700 which isn’t cheap but he is a grand less than Stanton. I truly believe the numbers will even out for Judge because that is how baseball works. Look for him to have a good game tonight and continue his great season. His price will only go up from here so buy in low now.
