Not many stories coming out of the league last night. The Astros clinched as we suspected they would this entire season.  Kluber locked up the Cy Young yesterday.  I thought Sale had it locked up the way he was playing but of late he hasn’t been great and Kluber has been incredible.  Kluber did miss part of the season with an injury but the voters will look past that and give it to him.

We have a very small slate of games so I will hit everyone.

Boston Red Sox @ Baltimore Orioles- This is a big series for both teams.  Baltimore has to sweep this series if they want a shot at the playoffs.  Even after the sweep it might not be enough.  Boston is treading in deep water with the Yankees circling behind them.  Fister vs. Bundy is a pretty solid pitching matchup.  Fister has been good of late but Bundy has the Red Sox number this year.  Look for this game to be low scoring and side with Bundy.

Targets: Bundy, Machado

L.A. Dodgers @ Philadelphia Phillies- The best pitcher in baseball vs the worst team in baseball.  This game is a lock for the Dodgers.  Rhys Hopkins is all the news in the MLB these days as he is hitting homers faster than Judge, Bellinger, and all the young stars.   Rhys will be shut down in this game and I expect Bellinger to have a massive day.  Hoskins has been the talk of late of the rookies, but Bellinger is the Rookie of the Year and he will make it known in this game.

Targets: Kershaw, Bellinger, Turner

Milwaukee Brewers @ Pittsburg Pirates- Jameson Tallion gets the call for the Pirates who is having a great year.   The Brewers are running for the second wild card spot and need every win they can get.  I do like them to get the win in this game as it doesn’t mean anything to the Pirates.  The Brewers can mash the ball, and I like them to mash the ball today.  Shaw, Thames, are both great plays as they will need to show up to help this team make it to the post season.

Targets: Shaw, Thames, Braun

Minnesota Twins @ New York Yankees- The Yankees are hot, Judge has found his swing and is hitting home runs left and right. Sanchez continues to mash and they are a dangerous team.  Ervin Santana gets the call for the Twins who are behind the Yankees for the first wild card spot.  Look for Santana to have a big game as he is a big time player.  The Yankees will score some runs but if Santana can keep them under 5 runs they will win this game.

Targets: Santana, Sano

New York Mets @ Miami Marlins- Harvey Day used to mean something to the Mets.  Now it means something for the other team – batting practice.  The Mets season is over, the Marlins are about to be eliminated but at home against Harvey, circle the wagons.  Giancarlo has two home runs in him for this game.  Harvey doesn’t care about this game, he doesn’t care about his trade value, he doesn’t care about the Mets.  Look for this game to get out of hand quick.

Targets: Stanton, Gordon

Oakland Athletics @ Detroit Tigers– Oakland is not a good team and always lets up a ton of runs.  The Tigers scored a ton last night and will do some damage tonight.  The Tigers aren’t great either so this game isn’t something I would go near.  Neither side is a lock, and neither side has a star that is like yes take them.  You could use some Tigers as filler positions, but I wouldn’t go crazy stacking them.

Targets: Cabrera

Arizona Diamondbacks @ San Diego Padres-This game has Diamondbacks written all over it.  Goldschmidt should be a lock for your line up.  The Padres are not a good team and won’t make any noise in this game.  I expect the Diamondbacks to win this game big as they are chasing down the Dodgers. J.D. Martinez is extremely hot batting .444 and 5 home runs over the past week. The Diamondbacks are hot.

Targets: Goldschmidt, Martinez
