Let’s overreact!
Of all the weeks in a given season, this is always my favorite. Does it mean that we will definitely win with our picks? Of course not. But it does mean that we know exactly what will be expected of basically every team.
Because Week 2 is always the same. Year-after-year, the same pattern unfolds.
The season ends. We collectively recap what happened. Moves are made. Players are Drafted. Coaches fired and hired.
And then, with just 60 minutes of gameplay, everything gets erased.
The only challenge we now face is in trying to determine if the overreaction was not enough or justified.
Below are predictions for each game against the spread. Spreads have been taken from various websites and are subject to change. The spread in parenthesis denotes the selected team. Spread is listed as advertised number and odds at either DraftKings Sportsbook, FanDuel Sportsbook, Caesars Sportsbook, or Fanatics Sportsbook (formerly PointsBet). All efforts were made to provide picks at -110 or better, with some stretching to a -125 if no reasonable advertised spread was found.

Detroit Lions at Buffalo Bills
Oh, how much the football-watching world loves the Detroit Lions and Buffalo Bills.
Thursday Night Football is a game for the fans and, as such, it has already declared which side is even more beloved. Because giving roughly a field goal worth of points wasn’t enough for the Bills. No, no. After winning in Houston — as small favorites — they return home and have to give even more points to the Lions.
Love. Everywhere.
Sarcasm aside,
