The Plays:
NSH @ TB
Nothing is better than opening night in any sport, it’s a clean slate for everyone. Teams reset for the grind of a long 82 game season to then reach the playoffs and the grind of what is the Stanley Cup Playoffs. Tampa Bay looks to regain some form as they had a rare early exit from the Playoffs a year ago. While Nashville looks to make it back and make a run in a wide open Western Conference. The Preds have a nice spot to steal an early game against the Bolts, as Tampa might have to figure out life without Vasilevskiy for the next two months. Nashville has enough firepower to keep up in a shootout, or if it’s a low scoring game they have the better goaltender in Saros. Love the value with Nashville at +140 to steal one on the road on opening night.
The Play: Nashville +140

CHI @ PIT
What a way to start your NHL career on the road against the best our generation has seen in Sidney Crosby. The only way it would be better would be at home against the best we have seen. There is zero value on anything in this game but Connor Bedard seems to be the real deal and the Hawks look to turn the page and start the rebuild. In terms of goal scorers he is the 3rd highest player to score any time and is the first Blackhawk on the list, you have to go down Taylor Hall who is 9th to score at +255. Bedard is going to score goals and opening night is going to kick it off putting the puck in the net.
The Play: Connor Bedard To Score +150

SEA @ VGK
Seattle and Vegas end the night on the west coast and it’s going to be lit as the cool kids say as Vegas will be celebrating its Stanley Cup Banner, but moving toward the game Vegas has owned Seattle losing just once in the last 8 games. Winners of 3 of 4 at home and covering the puck line in a majority of those games (5-3 against the puck line / 1-2 at home) The only value there is here is Vegas to cover -1.5 but the hangover of winning the Cup and basically having a party in Vegas worries me if you want to pay the -170 on the moneyline i can see them winning but in a close game where SEA would cover 1.5 (-170) so either way you would be paying the juice.
