It took all 60 minutes basically but the Capitals and T.J. Oshie scored with 2 seconds on the clock to lock up the Over of 6.5 last week and across state borders, the Canadiens hung with the Canucks as they were locked up heading into the third. This week we check out the birthplace of hockey as the Wild host the Bruins and the defending champs head west to take on the Kraken! We look to bounce back this week as three of the four teams tonight hail from Canada!

Trend, Trend, and more trends. That’s what the NHL is: a trendy league. This week will be no different. So buckle up and let’s get right down to it below with this week’s plays for the Wednesday night matchups!

The Plays:
BOS -1.5, +220 VALUE PLAY
Before I go into this one, I’m glad Boston didn’t become a favorite because before any lines came out the only line was a puck line indicating Boston would be the underdog as they still are. I love Boston in this game and this might be a little bit of a risk but the reward is worth it with so much value on it. I’m going to do the reverse puck line here. All-Star net under Cam Talbot is already confirmed for the Wild but honestly whoever was in net wouldn’t have changed my stance on this. I don’t have much to back up this play other than the simple fact that I feel Boston is better. If you don’t like the risk for the puck line then I would endorse the -105 ML play as well.

TB -1.5 +105 & OVER 6 +105 (NOT A PARLAY)
Taking both of these plays for the exact same reason. Tampa Bay is just straight-up better. There is no value at all on Seattle to even consider them, breaking it down in the one game these two have played in Seattle, Tampa Bay has won 3-0 covering easily, and I can see that happening again but in a larger form leading to the Over of 6. What does Tampa Bay do well? Score. What does Seattle do poorly? Defense. See the thread there, with this being at only 6 and not 6.5 is huge because you are also getting pus money on a number that you can tie with no not lose. If this was 6.5 I would likely pass as I don’t see Seattle scoring to keep up with Tampa Bay. This could get ugly quickly and Tampa could put up the 6 by themselves if Seattle isn’t careful.
