It seems like I have walked away from each week of this season with the same feeling. That is, it’s been fine overall, but it hasn’t established a direction or trend. There are some teams that are still struggling to do the same, but we normally have an overall pattern for the year by now.

That isn’t necessarily a bad thing. It allows us to maintain the same approach we have always used and, as I continue to write, expect a positive movement at one point.

We have, however, seen a solid amount of success in the confidence picks, and that is obviously a good sign that, in a given week, a handful of setups are continuing to provide value.

With only two teams on a bye this week and plenty of nationally-televised action, we should expect plenty of opportunities.

Below are predictions for each game against the spread. Spreads have been taken from various websites and are subject to change. The spread in parenthesis denotes the selected team. Spread is listed as advertised number and odds at either DraftKings Sportsbook, FanDuel Sportsbook, Caesars Sportsbook, or Fanatics Sportsbook (formerly PointsBet). All efforts were made to provide picks at -110 or better, with some stretching to a -125 if no reasonable advertised spread was found.

Philadelphia Eagles at New York Giants

Week 6 begins with quite a lot of trends converging in one place.

The Philadelphia Eagles, coming off their first loss in months, will take on a New York Giants team that believes it has found its franchise quarterback but just became the first squad to ever lose to quarterback Spencer Rattler of the Saints.

That’s not exactly a ringing endorsement.
