As the calendar turns to November, we see another week with a relatively small slate of games filled with uncertainty due to injuries. We do, however, have a significantly better read on the matchups and gameplans of teams about to either conclude the first half of their games or begin the second half.
Week 9’s outlook suggests that there is a lack of true ‘top wide receiver’ options for Sunday, which forces the list of pass catchers to swell to an abnormally large size. Conversely, there is an almost uniform, laser focus on running backs for Week 9, as a few jump off the page as nearly must-plays.

Based on our expected Week 9 DFS game flow analysis performed earlier, we can carry our thoughts into actual lineup positions. The long list of players that fit the requirements set forth by the projected flow of the game was cut dramatically by the requirements set forth by salaries.
Below are Sporfolio’s DFS Week 9 Plays:
Quarterback
Aaron Rodgers – If it ain’t broke… don’t look elsewhere for your fantasy quarterback needs. Is that how it goes? It should, as Aaron Rodgers is, once again, the top quarterback option for Sunday. Between a complete lack of a running game – although not necessarily a lack of a running back – a favorable matchup against a poor Colts secondary, and the likelihood of a big rebound performance against a non-conference opponent at home after a heart-breaking road loss in Week 8, Aaron Rodgers is the player to target in Week 9.
Andrew Luck – Why not double-dip in the same game? As Aaron Rodgers goes, so does Andrew Luck, as the aerial attack of one team should drive the other – we saw the same with Rodgers and Matt Ryan in Week 8. Luck brings a slight discount when compared to his opponent, and finally looks to have most of his receiving options back at his disposal. In another comparison to Rodgers, Luck has virtually no running game – eighth-fewest rushing attempts in the league – to force the gameplan out of his hands, and the sheer volume alone should help him deliver a nice fantasy output on Sunday.
