Welcome to the Wednesday edition of the daily fantasy hockey morning coffee. Today we have a small three-game slate to dig through for our DFS needs.

Tonight’s Slate:

Minnesota Wild @ Toronto Maple Leafs (Toronto, -145, 6 over/under)
Boston Bruins @ New York Rangers (N.Y., -145, 5.5 over/under)
Tampa Bay Lightning @ San Jose Sharks (San Jose, -115, 5.5 over/under)

The top team I want to target tonight are the Toronto Maple leafs. Tonight the Leafs get a Minnesota team that has allowed 10 goals over their past three games, 3.00 goals against per game on the season and 3.50 goals against per game over six games played on the road. For what it’s worth … Minnesota has allowed just nine power play goals this season — but seven of those power play goals against have come on the road.

Minnesota has a CA/60 of 61.63 — ninth-highest in the NHL. Their SCA/60 and HDCA/60 are solid but goaltender Devan Dubnyk has only four quality starts in 10 chances — and his 3.03 goals against average and .907 save percentage do not inspire a lot of confidence. And tonight Minnesota is on the road against a Toronto team that has scored a league third-best 3.75 goals for per game — and has averaged 4.00 goals per game at home.

We’ve done this before, but it’s worth repeating … Toronto has a xGF/60 of 2.94, a SCF/60 of 33.47 and a HDCF/60 of 13.16 — all among the best in the NHL. Toronto should control puck possesion tonight and I’ll think we’ll see plenty of scoring chances for the Leafs. Toronto’s 24.1 percent success rate on the power play is good for seventh-best in the league.

A Kadri/Marner/Rielly stack intrigues me tonight as a tournament stack as a way to try to get exposure to Toronto while avoiding some of the ownership issues we’ll likely see with anything touching Auston Matthews.
