Welcome to the Thursday edition of the daily fantasy hockey morning coffee. After a small four-game slate last night we’re back with a nice 12-game slate to work with to build our daily fantasy hockey rosters. From the 12 games I want to whittle it down to three games I find particularly interesting for our DFS needs.

Winnipeg Jets @ New York Islanders (New York, -145, 6 over/under)
Dallas Stars @ Vancouver Canucks (Dallas, -115, 5.5 over/under)
Buffalo Sabres @ Los Angeles Kings (Los Angeles, -220, 5 over/under)

If you can’t bring yourself to trust a Vancouver or Dallas team, Washington and Columbus stacks can be subbed in as cash-game choices.

The first game I have interest in tonight is the Winnipeg Jets at the New York Islanders — and I really want both sides of this one. In March, over six games, Winnipeg has scored 19 goals and their goals per game average is the fifth-highest in the NHL this month. Since the All-Star break Winnipeg has scored a league eighth-best 3.12 goals per game. Over their past 10 games Winnipeg sports a SCF/60 rate of 26.77 — 12th highest in the league and their HDCF/60 rate of 12.28 over their past 10 games is the third-highest in the NHL.

Since the All-Star break the Islanders have allowed a league third-worst 3.43 goals against per game and this month have allowed 28 goals over eight games. Over their past 10 games the Islanders have a SCA/60 rate of 28.72 — seventh-highest in the league. Winnipeg should get plenty of chances tonight and I’ll look to the following stacks tonight:

Our Winnipeg Stacks

Line 1: Nikolaj Ehlers $5.5K / Mark Scheifele $7.6K / Blake Wheeler $6.9K
Line 2: Mathieu Perreault $4.6K / Bryan Little $4.9K / Patrik Laine $7.4K
Power Play 1: Adam Lowry $3.5/ Mark Scheifele $7.6K / Blake Wheeler $6.9K / Nikolaj Ehlers $5.5K / Dustin Byfuglien $6.1K
Power Play 2: Mathieu Perreault $4.6K / Bryan Little $4.9K / Joel Armia $3.3K / Patrik Laine $7.4K / Josh Morrissey $3.5K

Now for the other side of this game.
