Instead of the morning coffee this fine day we’re going to simply look at the top three stacks I’ll be rolling with for tonight’s DFS slate. This is by no means a comprehensive breakdown of the slate as a whole, instead it’s a list of cornerstone players I’ll look to roster in both my tournaments and especially my cash game lineups.

Stack One: Boston Bruins Line One/Cash and GPP. Boston’s Line Two/GPP

My top stack tonight is the Bruins first line of Patrice Bergeron/Brad Marchand/David Pastrnak. The Bruins have the second-highest implied goal total of the night in a game with a six over/under. Up against an Islanders team that has allowed a league-worst 36.89 SCA/60 I like Boston’s top line to break through tonight. Additionally, the Islanders allowed a league-worst 4.20 goals against per game in December.

The stack is pricey, with each player over $7K — but I hope that price in addition to other big names in action tonight shed some ownership from this elite line.

As purely a tournamnet stack I’ll to get a Ryan Spooner/David Krecji/Jake DeBrusk into my lineups. This line will skate together on Boston’s second line and together on Boston’s second power play unit. It is a tough matchup as New York’s second line has a CF% of 56.80 — but Krecji is tough to ignore with two goals (including a power play goal) and two assists over his past three games. Spooner has three goals over his past two games (including a power play goal).

And, since I’m all over the Bruins tonight, we can’t overlook a mini stack of David Backes/Danton Heinen on the third line. Backes has been on fire recently with three goals and five assists over his past give games. When on the ice together they have a CF% of 57.68 and a HDCF% of 62.26 percent. They could do some damage against the Islanders third line tonight.
