Just like last week, the smaller slate of games also produced a shorter list of targets for DFS purposes. We don’t mind this at all. It was easier to condense our options and hone in on a tighter group that fits nicely for our risk-reward approach.

Based on our expected Week 7 DFS game flow analysis and Week 7 Games to Target published earlier, we can carry our thoughts into actual lineup positions. The long list of players that fit the requirements set forth by the projected flow of the game was cut dramatically by the requirements set forth by salaries.

Below are Sporfolio’s DFS Week 7 Plays:

Quarterback

Matthew Stafford – The obvious ‘storyline play’ of the day, Matthew Stafford isn’t in our lineup just because of the ‘revenge game’ factor against his former team. He’s in our lineup because he is currently putting together an MVP-caliber season and has an incredibly setup to explode in said ‘revenge game.’ In reality, the “revenge” is probably less for him than his opponent on Sunday, as the Los Angeles Rams set out to acquire Stafford — as opposed to a team giving him away. Still, the value lies in the overall matchup where it mirrors last week’s game in that the Rams could pull away and never look back. That still runs through Stafford, and he has as high a ceiling as ever.

Tua Tagovailoa – We have spent a lot of time discussing the set up for this Falcons-Dolphins game. Based on the massive advantage the Falcons have on prep time, we are expecting a hot start from Atlanta. That is going to the put the Dolphins in a position to be playing form behind, which will then force a pass-heavy gameplan for a team that already boasts one of the highest pass play percentages in the league. We are banking on the game flow aiding that notion, but either way Tagovailoa showed us last week he is capable of performing well against vulnerable defenses. The Falcons defense ranks 27th in the league in net yards allowed per pass attempt, so Tua has the matchup and game flow to have a huge game while carrying a very small price tag.
