We are in store for a wild week of fantasy football. With only four teams on a bye week and no extra-early games on Sunday, we have twelve games from which to choose on Sunday, thirteen for the entire weekend slate.

The increase in options is not entirely tied to the extra game or two, however, as the real purpose behind a wide net cast into the fantasy ocean for Week 10 is the lack of a Millionaire Maker tournament on DraftKings. Instead, it is replaced with a smaller version. This swap includes a significantly decreased buy-in fee, and will likely result in higher variation among lineups. As a result, our list of targets is longer than usual in an attempt to capture as many reasonable options as possible.

Based on our expected Week 10 DFS game flow analysis performed earlier, we can carry our thoughts into actual lineup positions. The long list of players that fit the requirements set forth by the projected flow of the game was cut dramatically by the requirements set forth by salaries.

Below are Sporfolio’s DFS Week 10 Plays:

Quarterback

Ben Roethlisberger – Somewhat of a consensus must-start by our website, Ben Roethlisberger is in an excellent position on Sunday. In arguably the non-Primetime game-of-the-week, the Steelers will host the Cowboys in a non-conference battle where each team enters from opposite directions. Specifically, the Steelers’ offense has been non-existent in recent weeks, but Roethlisber should be healthy and in-control on Sunday. And, even if Pittsburgh struggles against the high-flying Cowboys, Roethlisberger will need to throw late in order to stay in the game. His slightly decreased price is the final domino to fall in his favor.

Marcus Mariota – Between his mobility, matchup, and recent hot stretch, Marcus Mariota is an excellent quarterback option at a lineup-friendly salary. His team has scored no fewer than 26 points in each of its last five games and has now moved into the top-ten for yards gained. Granted, much of the Titans’ gameplan flows through the ground attack – more on that when we reach the running back section – but it is not necessarily via called running plays, as Mariota gets his backfield involved in the passing attack.

Alex Smith – While we typically shy away from Alex Smith for his lack of explosiveness on offense, the Chiefs, as a team, are steadily rising. With injuries strewn throughout the franchise – including Smith, himself, in Week 9 – finding the right player from Kansas City to use on Sunday is somewhat of a risk. Then again, with Smith’s low price – basically the minimum for a starting quarterback – and excellent matchup against a struggling Panthers secondary, both the floor and ceiling are high for the Chiefs’ signal-caller. Smith even gets a boost if Carolina performs well, as Kansas City will have to take to the air to attempt a comeback.
