While the first two weeks of the 2016 National Football League season helped reset expectations for some players, many are still trending far from their baselines. Week 3 appears to be full of underperforming stars finally in position to thrive. Thankfully, the number of fantasy targets continue to shrink on a week-by-week basis, allowing us to better pinpoint the players to be used in any combination of daily fantasy lineups.

Based on our expected Week 3 DFS game flow analysis performed earlier, we can carry our thoughts into actual lineup positions. The long list of players that fit the requirements set forth by the projected flow of the game was cut dramatically by the requirements set forth by salaries.

Below are Sporfolio’s DFS Week 3 Plays:

Quarterback

Joe Flacco – The only hesitation for using Joe Flacco in a daily fantasy lineup is the risk that his team needs to milk the clock late in the game due to protecting a lead. Such an event assumes that Baltimore sprints past the Jaguars, which would have likely required a big effort from Flacco, anyway. Against the porous Jacksonville secondary – the defense has allowed the fourth-most passing touchdowns in the league – Flacco should finally break out.

Andrew Luck – Andrew Luck and the Colts were completely shut down by the Denver Broncos in Week 2. Indianapolis’ offense gets a significantly easier matchup against the Chargers, and Luck is poised to rebound. Still without a legitimate rushing attack, the Colts will take to the air early-and-often, and he should have no trouble finding success against a San Diego secondary that has allowed the fourth-most passing yards in the league, to date.

Russell Wilson – ‘Statement games’ are real in the National Football League, and the Seahawks are about to play one. After scoring a total of fifteen points on one touchdown through two games, Seattle will be out to prove that its offense is far from a liability – especially since the team’s defense has been as good as advertised, ranking first in the league in both yards and points allowed. With injuries strewn throughout the offense, Russell Wilson will likely be the biggest catalyst for the pending Seahawks explosion. Running back Thomas Rawls entering the game – if he does – at less than 100 percent likely leads to a few more rushing yards for Wilson, too, as the quarterback intelligently picks his spots to run.
