Last week’s column noted how difficult it was to make lineups because of the amount of high-end running backs we were compelled to own. Thankfully, we get a break from that concern in Week 10, as the pricing is a lot more reasonable. That, and we aren’t overloading on the higher-priced options.

Based on our expected Week 10 DFS game flow analysis and Week 10 Games to Target published earlier, we can carry our thoughts into actual lineup positions. The long list of players that fit the requirements set forth by the projected flow of the game was cut dramatically by the requirements set forth by salaries.

Below are Sporfolio’s DFS Week 10 Plays:

Quarterback

Jared Goff – Playing against the Seattle Seahawks is an absolute dream matchup for quarterbacks. There is no team in the league that has allowed more total yards, faced more pass attempts, or allowed more passing yards than the Seahawks. Seattle’s defense has allowed over 350 total passing yards in five of their eight games. As if that defense didn’t make the matchup appealing enough, the high likelihood that Russell Wilson and the Seahawks’ offense are going to put up loads of points means that the game script never really gets away from an opposing quarterback. The icing on the cake for Jared Goff is the fact that the Rams are coming off their bye week, and should experience a major bounceback game offensively after a putrid four-turnover disaster against the Dolphins before their bye week.

Tom Brady – If “bounceback” and “disaster” are used for Jared Goff’s writeup, then we have repeat it for Tom Brady’s. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers played one of the worst games of the season in last week’s Sunday Night Football loss to the Saints, and Brady was at the center of it. He logged a season-low quarterback rating of 40.4 and tossed three interceptions without a turnover. Basically everyone on the Buccaneers is taking some sort of blame for the terrible showing, but Brady has been out to prove his doubters wrong, all season. Expect him to be back to his normal 2020 form on Sunday.

Matthew Stafford – Matthew Stafford is the ideal ‘numbers’ pick on Sunday. The first number is his salary. It’s too low. In fact, it’s so low that it hardly matters that he’s playing against the Washington Football Team and its impressive defense. At his price, we aren’t looking for an explosion. The second number is the baseline for his typical game, where we see that Stafford has thrown a touchdown in every game, this year, and reached at least passing 250 yards five times. We should also keep in mind that Stafford was pulled from last week’s games for fears of a concussion, but appears to be healthy for Sunday. If we remove that game from the equation — since he only played in 80 percent of the snaps — we see that Stafford was averaging 275 passing yards and two touchdowns over the prior five matchups.
