After last week’s wild movement of games and the pair that had already played on Thursday, we greatly welcome Week 13’s options in terms of finding value on either side of a scoring matchup. With that, we easily landed on a handful of games out of the possible 15 ahead of us.

A Note from Mario: Another below-average week with these picks, as they went 1-3. I will continue to provide these picks as I see fit, but please do your research and play responsibly.

In the world of daily fantasy roster construction, ‘stacking’ players from the same team can often lead to big results. In this column of games to target in Week 13, Luke and Mario will give their thoughts on a few games that are worth watching for fantasy purposes, and whether they like the value or feel the game is getting too much attention.

Las Vegas Raiders at New York Jets

Part of me feels like I must have lost my mind by now because here I am about to suggest stacking a game between the Raiders and the Jets. The Jets are allergic to winning, and the Raiders just played one of the worst games of football I have ever seen, but neither of those facts are scaring me off of this matchup. For the Raiders, I am willing to completely disregard last week. That game was the first of their season in which they didn’t surpass 300 yards of offense, and it was just their third game of the season with multiple turnovers. Of their five turnovers, four of them were fumbles, and that feels almost impossible so I am not putting much stock in that game moving forward. A matchup against the Jets defense has been very favorable throughout the year, and I love Derek Carr and this Raiders offense to bounce back in a major way and show the type of form that helped them beat the Chiefs earlier this season and nearly beat them again just a couple of weeks ago. Trusting the Jets offense is the more insane part of this, but I’m willing to roll the dice this week. The Raiders defense has been horrendous this season: they have allowed over 400 yards of offense in six of their eleven games, and at least 300 yards of offense in all but one game, and that one game was their hurricane game against the Browns. Sam Darnold is making his second consecutive start after his latest injury, and with that, the Jets offense should be at as close to full strength as we have seen all season long. Between Darnold and his trio of wide receivers, there is some talent on this offense, and given their matchup and very low price tags, they make for an intriguing gamble this week. Stacking this game could be a great contrarian play this week, and the savings will allow you to pay up for studs in other games.
