Recently, I wrote about one of the craziest weeks in recent memory. And then Week 14 arrived.
From start-to-finish, we couldn’t help but be entertained. What’s most amazing is that it really was from start-to-finish.
Sunday afternoon opened with an insane first half-hour of action. There were inexplicable fumbles, trick plays, and wild swings that left us wondering if half the games were already decided.
The good news? They weren’t.
The better news? That was only the start.
The craziness ended in a jaw-dropping, utterly wild — albeit, sloppy — game between the Ravens and Browns.
The best news? We won the pick!
Certainly, that game wasn’t anything to celebrate, but the point is that it was a truly fun week of action. Splitting the games — and confidence picks — is never a problem, and that’s more apparent the deeper into the season that we go. Of course, we want to make one more move. One more surge.
So let it begin in Week 15.
Below are predictions for each game against the spread. Spreads have been taken from various websites and are subject to change. The spread in parenthesis denotes the selected team. An asterisk denotes a confidence pick.

Los Angeles Chargers at Las Vegas Raiders
While I genuinely find it important to recognize which parts of a prior week were correct for us, I think the entire football-watching world perfectly nailed the game between the Los Angeles Chargers and Falcons. That is, we knew it couldn’t be easy for either team, and heartbreak was imminent. Eventually, both sides actually their share of heartbreak — as impossible as that may seem — yet it was the Chargers who escaped with a victory.
Had this game been played a month or so ago, I suspect the aftermath would be quite different than it is today.
