Montreal takes their league-best 1.30 goals-against-per-game to Columbus tonight. Montreal’s offense has also been good at 3.40 goals-per-game – fourth-best in the NHL. While I’ll be looking to Montreal for some offense in this one, it comes with the caveat that Columbus has killed off 88.9 percent of its PK chances this season has limited opponents to 2.38 goals-per-game over eight games.

— In a small sample size Montreal, has scored 3.5 road goals-per-game but Columbus has only allowed 1.5 goals-per-game at home this season. Montreal is the favorite in this one and we may have temper out expectations for a huge night on either end.
If we’re looking for offense on the other side we can easily look to the Columbus power play — it’s clicking at 35.0 percent — best in the NHL.
