I hope by now you’ve recovered from Thanksgiving, that political talk didn’t rip your family apart, and you’re ready to jump back into some daily fantasy hockey.
Today, I’m only going to focus on the main slate (7:30 p.m.) of games on FanDuel. There are three teams I’m going to target heavily as the cornerstones of many of lineups tonight.
Calgary Flames @ Boston Bruins
Edmonton Oilers @ Arizona Coyotes
Vancouver Canucks @ Dallas Stars
The Bruins, Oilers and Stars have great matchups and will make up some of my top team stacks of the night.
Even though I bolded the Bruins as my play tonight, I can see taking players from both sides in this game. But let’s start with why I’m going Boston-heavy. Calgary has given up a league fifth-worst 3.09 goals per game this season, have given up a league-worst 21 power play goals, have been shorthanded an NHL second-most 81 times.
With that being said, Calgary has looked better over their past five games only allowing an average of 2.00 goals per game over that stretch – and are coming fresh off a shutout of the Columbus Blue Jackets. But let’s not forget this is also a team that allowed three power play goals to the Buffalo Sabres on Nov. 21.
Even on the second night of a back-to-back, the Bruins are the Vegas favorite in this one and I’ll be looking to stack Boston’s power play in addition to their first line.
If you are a multi-entry GPP player you should consider both of Boston’s PP units:
PP1:
Patrice Bergeron $6.7K (3G, 2A, 1 PPP, 65 SOG)
Ryan Spooner $4.4K (3G, 4A, 3 PPP, 43 SOG)
David Backes $5.6K (4G, 4A, 2 PPP, 36 SOG)
David Krejci $5.7K (2G, 10A, 5 PPP, 36 SOG)
(D) Torey Krug $5.5K (1G, 5A, 3 PPP, 62 SOG)
PP2:
Matt Beleskey $4.2K (2G, 3A, 2 PPP, 33 SOG)
Brad Marchand (6G, 12A, 4 PPP, 48 SOG)
David Pastrnak (11G, 4A, 5 PPP, 49 SOG)
Austin Czarnik $3.2K (2G, 3A, 1 PPP, 23 SOG)
First line:
Marchand
Bergeron
Pastrnak
