We have a nine-game daily fantasy hockey slate to work with tonight and there are three teams I am interested in right away as potentially stackable teams for our tournaments.
Arizona Coyotes @ Chicago Blackhawks
Florida Panthers @ Philadelphia Flyers
GPP Play: Detroit Red Wings @ Winnipeg Jets
The Chicago Blackhawks get the Arizona Coyotes on the second night of a back-to-back. This season Arizona is second-worst in the NHL with 3.09 goals against per game (that number shoots to 3.50 goals on the road). Tonight we’re not going to out-think ourselves and will go with the Kane lane as our top stack of the night:
Artemi Panarin $7.2K (10G, 13A, 5 PPP, 73 SOG)
Artem Anisimov $6.3K (10G, 12A, 4 PPP, 43 SOG)
Patrick Kane $8.5K (8G, 18A, 6 PPP, 83 SOG)
Not that we need a lot of explanation of why we should use Chicago’s top unit, but it’s worth noting that they have been sixth-most productive line in the NHL as even strength and this trio will skate together on Chicago’s top power play unit. Facing an Arizona team that should be tired playing two nights in a row, it’s not a time to fade this line – even though the stack is expensive. You could add Duncan Keith or Brent Seabrook on the blue line to fill out a power play stack.
