We end the week with a nice six-game daily fantasy hockey slate with a few games I’m certainly going to target for our DFS needs.
Before I start, the Rangers/Blackhawks game is the real life game of the night and potentially the DFS game of the night. Both teams are clearly in play — use them at your own discretion. I will lean toward Chicago as the Rangers are on the second night of a back-to-back and I don’t think we should underestimate that. Look at the Avalanche vs. Bruins game from last night as a prime example of how a tired team can vastly under-perform. Last night we targeted Boston’s first line — and while that particular line did come through for us — the team as a whole was sloppy and gave up many scoring chances to one of the worst teams in the league. So, use Chicago tonight in your cash games and move on … and if you’re a multi-entry GPP player, certainly sprinkle them into your GPP lineups.
The first game I’m going to target tonight is the Columbus Blue Jackets at the Detroit Red Wings. I want both sides of this one. I am still particularly intrigued by the top line of Tatar/Zetterberg/Mantha and that line is going to be my main target in this game.
Over his last four games Zetterberg has three goals, two assists, 11 shots on goal while averaging 19 minutes and 38 seconds of ice time.
Pairing him with Mantha is the play once again. We want this duo in our GPP lineups tonight. Mantha, in his last five games, has two goals, one assist and twelve shots on goal while averaging sixteen minutes and 42 seconds of ice time per night.
Over the past three games the Tatar/Zetterberg/Mantha line has been the third most productive line in the NHL, so I will have some GPP lineups featuring the entirety of Detroit’s first line. Over his past three games Tatar has one goal, three assists, seven shots on net and has averaged seventeen minutes and 58 seconds of ice time per game. They have CF/60 of 59.58 — when this trio is on the ice the puck tilts in Detroit’s favor.
I also want exposure to
