Welcome to the Wednesday edition of the daily fantasy hockey morning coffee. Tonight we have a small five-game slate to go through for our DFS needs. There are a few teams I plan on targeting for my tournaments tonight:

Arizona Coyotes @ Winnipeg Jets (Winnipeg, -200, 5.5 over/under)
Pittsburgh Penguins @ Montreal Canadiens (Montreal, -115, 5.5 over/under)

The first team I want plenty of shares of is the Winnipeg Jets. Tonight they get an Arizona team that has allowed an NHL second-worst 3.16 goals against per game and an NHL fifth-worst 33 power play goals against. When adjusted for score and venue (in 5v5 situations), Arizona has an xGA/60 of 2.82 — third-highest in the NHL. When trailing, with the same adjustments, that number jumps to xGA/60 of 3.13. I think Winnipeg gives us the best chance of putting up a big number tonight and I’ll go heavy with Winnipeg skaters.

I’ll go with a first line stack:

Nikolaj Ehlers $6.7K (14G, 25A, 7 PPP, 110 SOG)
Mark Scheifele $7.6K (20G, 20A, 9 PPP, 96 SOG)
Blake Wheeler $7.1K (13G, 23A, 11 PPP, 142 SOG)

and a power play two stack in tournaments of:

Joel Armia $3.1K (2G, 3A, 44 SOG)
Mark Scheifele
Nicolas Petan $3.6K (1G, 9A, 6 PPP, 29 SOG)
Nikolaj Ehlers
(D) Jacob Trouba $5.2K (2G, 12A, 68 SOG)

Arizona has allowed nine goals over their past three games. At home on Jan. 13 Arizona did beat Winnipeg 4-3 but tonight should be a different story on the road. At home Winnipeg has averaged 3.00 goals per game and Arizona’s penalty kill unit have only killed off 72.6 percent of their PK chances.
