Welcome to the Wednesday edition of the daily fantasy hockey morning coffee. Today we have yet another small four-game slate to work with for our daily fantasy hockey needs.

Florida Panthers @ N.Y. Islanders (N.Y., -125, 5 over/under)
Pittsburgh Penguins @ Washington Capitals (-125, Washington, 5.5 over/under)
Montreal Canadiens @ Winnipeg Jets
San Jose Sharks @ Calgary Flames

The N.Y. Islanders scored an NHL fourth-best 3.43 goals per game in December and find themselves as the home favorite tonight against the Florida Panthers. While we won’t mistake the Islanders for a good hockey team, they are capable of racking up goals and scored four or more goals seven times in December. On the season, at home, New York has scored a league 10th-best 3.05 goals per game.

Anders Lee $5K (14G, 4A, 3 PPP, 74 SOG)
John Tavares $8K (11G, 16A, 8 PPP, 114 SOG)
Josh Bailey $4.9K (5G, 19A, 7 PPP, 76 SOG)

make up New York’s top line and make for a great tournament stack tonight. Over his past five games Lee has two goals, Tavares has one goal, two assists and 14 shots on goal over his past four games and Bailey has three assists over his past four games — one on the power play. Johnny Boychuk has a nice three-game point streak going and makes for a tournament play on the blue line.

Of course, New York is always a team we can attack. Per Corsica, in 5v5 situations, with the score tied, N.Y. has an xGA/60 of 2.78, second-worst in the NHL. At even strength New York allows a league second worst SCA/60 of 9.98. While we won’t mistake Florida for an offensive powerhouse, the Islanders do offer the Panthers an opportunity to score. Last month the Islanders allowed a league seventh-worst 3.29 goals against per game and only killed off 77.5 percent of their PK chances. And at home they boast the third-worst CA/60 of 60.98.

Jaromir Jagr $5.9K (7G, 18A, 8 PPP, 97 SOG)
Vincent Trocheck $6.3K (12G, 12A, 7 PPP, 119 SOG)
Reilly Smith $5K (8G, 9A, 7 PPP, 81 SOG)
Jonathan Marchessault $5.6K (12G, 13A, 8 PPP, 86 SOG)
(D) Keith Yandle $5.6K (2G, 17A, 9 PPP, 100 SOG)

comprise the top options on the Florida end.
