After a big slate of games last night we have tidy three game slate to dig through for our daily fantasy hockey needs.
Pittsburgh Penguins @ New York Islanders
Toronto Maple Leafs @ Calgary Flames
San Jose Sharks @ Los Angeles Kings
We have two teams on the second night of back-to-backs: the Sharks and Leafs, and I think they make good teams to attack on such a small slate.
While we will attack the Leafs, we can really attack both sides of the Leafs vs. Flames game. Toronto is third in the NHL in scoring, averaging 3.18 goals per game – and Calgary is fifth-worst in the NHL in goals allowed with 3.04 average goals against per game. After a horrendous start to November, where Calgary allowed 24 goals in six games, they have calmed things down a little – although they did allow a 5 spot to Philadelphia on Nov. 27. So even though Toronto is on the second night of a back-to-back,we can still feel comfortable rostering skaters on the Leafs’ end.
As usual, I’ll stick to power play units when attacking Calgary
