Montreal and Minnesota come in as the early Vegas favorites both with over/unders of 5.
Minnesota has allowed a league second-best 2.08 goals against per game, and have scored an NHL 10th-best 2.82 goals per game – but they haven’t looked great over their last two games allowing nine total goals with three coming on the power play. They have also allowed 109 shots over their past three games.
The cornerstone of many of my lineups will be Calgary’s second line of Matthew Tkachuk/Mikael Backlund/Michael Frolik as they have been the NHL’s 10th most productive line in goals scored this season (per LeftWingLock) — and seventh best in unblocked shot attempts with 145.
