After a small two-game Monday daily fantasy hockey slate, we’re back with a more manageable seven-game slate to work with for our daily fantasy needs. We have some nice options across the board and there are three games I want to focus on when forming the foundation for many of my lineups tonight:
Vancouver Canucks @ Pittsburgh Penguins (Pittsburgh, -250, 5.5 over/under)
Arizona Coyotes @ Edmonton Oilers (Edmonton, -230, 5.5 over/under)
New York Islanders @ Toronto Maple Leafs (Toronto, -135, 5.5 over/under)
Tonight the Pittsburgh Penguins get the Vancouver Canucks at home. At home this season Pittsburgh has scored a league-leading 3.92 goals per game (110 goals home goals overall) and have a power power that has clicked at home league second-best rate of 27.2. Per naturalstattrick.com the Penguins are second in the NHL at home with a SCF/60 of 34.36. Pittsburgh also boasts the league second-best home HDCF/60 of 13.38 (these numbers represent 5v5 situations). And they bring all this to a Vancouver team that has allowed a league 10th-worst 3.04 goals against on the road.
Pittsburgh will certainly be a popular play tonight, and if you’re multi-entering a tournament they are not a team to fade with the big game potential they bring to the board.
Chris Kunitz $5K (8G, 17A, 3 PPP, 91 SOG)
Sidney Crosby $8.8K (30G, 30A, 17 PPP, 154 SOG)
Jake Guentzel $4.1K (5G, 5A, 21 SOG)
make up the stack I’ll look to first in my tournaments. And I’ll also want shares of Pittsburgh’s third line:
Scott Wilson $3.2K (5G, 10A, 86 SOG)
Evgeni Malkin $8.4K (22G, 32A, 19 PPP, 146 SOG)
Patric Hornqvist $7.2K (17G, 16A, 13 PPP, 166 SOG)
As a tournament option you could go with
