We have another smaller main slate because of the games played on Friday and Saturday, but the bigger issue is the amount of late news that has forced our hands in certain directions. This will likely be the case for others, and it makes the salaries somewhat unstable as we have players who are now too expensive for their current situation while others are wildly underpriced.

Based on our expected Week 16 DFS game flow analysis and Week 16 Games to Target published earlier, we can carry our thoughts into actual lineup positions. The long list of players that fit the requirements set forth by the projected flow of the game was cut dramatically by the requirements set forth by salaries.

Below are Sporfolio’s DFS Week 16 Plays:

Quarterback

Deshaun Watson – While we certainly won’t be the only people with this take, we are targeting the Houston Texans’ offense to finally break through against a weak defense. The Texans have faced tough competition over the last few weeks, but the Cincinnati Bengals present an opportunity for Houston to get back on-track. That can’t happen without quarterback Deshaun Watson putting together another solid game. He’s expensive, but he also has one of the highest floors on the main slate.

Jared Goff – We continue to write about the Los Angeles Rams having a better output this week, and that is going to start and end with Jared Goff. Cam Akers has been ruled out, and with Darrell Henderson Jr. and Malcom Brown being largely ineffective on the ground lately, the passing game is going to have to take center stage. We are not big believers in the improvement of the Seahawks’ defense after taking a closer look at the matchups over the last four weeks. Even with those easy games for this defense, we still see the Seahawks’ defense that is allowing the most passing yards per game in the entire league. When these two teams met back in Week 10, Goff threw for over 300 yards, and we have been targeting a rebound for the Rams’ offense throughout the week.

Matt Ryan – We often write about a player having multiple routes to a big game, and this is the case with Atlanta Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan. If the Falcons jump out to a lead and go toe-to-toe with the Kansas City Chiefs, it almost certainly stemmed from Ryan performing well immediately. That’s one route. Otherwise, the most likely outcome is that Kansas City is the team establishing the lead which will force the Falcons to throw. That increased volume is our second road to a big fantasy performance from Ryan.
