Over the last few weeks, the two authors of this column have landed on at least one shared game worth mentioning. Not this time. Even if we do like some of the same matchups, there is a large amount of games worth addressing for one-reason-or-another.

A Note from Mario: A much better output, last week, as we went 3-1 with a near-miss — by one point. I will continue to provide these picks as I see fit, but please do your research and play responsibly.

In the world of daily fantasy roster construction, ‘stacking’ players from the same team can often lead to big results. In this column of games to target in Week 16, Luke and Mario will give their thoughts on a few games that are worth watching for fantasy purposes, and whether they like the value or feel the game is getting too much attention.

Luke’s Top Games to Watch

Carolina Panthers at Washington Football Team

When you look at the Washington Football Team’s season, they have only had three games that reached a total of 50 points. 50 points is roughly the threshold for what I consider to be a “high-scoring game,” so them having just three such games is hardly inspiring as we enter Week 16. Now, that should not come as a surprise when you realize that their offense ranks 29th in the league in total yards and their defense ranks 4th in total yards allowed. That is a perfect recipe for a team that is looking to win low scoring games, and it is a perfect recipe for a team that is almost always worth avoiding for fantasy purposes. The Panthers offense is 20th in total yards and 22nd in points for. The Panthers have not reached the 30 point mark since Week 9, and they have only reached that mark on three occasions this entire season. Neither of these offenses generate a ton of excitement on a week-to-week basis, and when you put them together in a game, it is hard to see this game producing a ton of offense.

Cincinnati Bengals at Houston Texans

These two teams have a combined seven wins — and one tie — yet
