Another early morning game in London along with a few teams on a bye week has set us up for our second consecutive ten-game main slate. Last week, we were able to have success with a ‘stars-and-scrubs’ approach, and the same appears to be in the works for Week 8.
Based on our expected Week 8 DFS game flow analysis performed earlier, we can carry our thoughts into actual lineup positions. The long list of players that fit the requirements set forth by the projected flow of the game was cut dramatically by the requirements set forth by salaries.
Below are Sporfolio’s DFS Week 8 Plays:
Quarterback
Aaron Rodgers – Aaron Rodgers has been our favorite play all week long and that won’t change now. He has shown time and time again that he is capable of producing in absolutely any matchup, and when he is forced into the throwing the ball more, he almost always delivers a big game. A matchup with the Rams sets the stage for a ton of work for Rodgers as his defense will likely be bleeding points from start to finish. With that being the case, Rodgers will have his hands full trying to keep his team in the game, but we fully expect him to be up to the task and make this game interesting. It is also a huge advantage that he is coming off a bye week and should be far healthier than he has been all season, and finally should have all of his receivers back as well.
Ben Roethlisberger – The Steelers’ offense has been on a decent run of late, and a game at home is always a comfortable time to use Ben Roethlisberger. Add in the fact that he is coming off a bye week, and should be highly motivated after tying this Browns team in Week 1 while having 5 turnovers. The Steelers love to let Roethlisberger take the reigns at home, and this seems like the perfect situation for him and his receivers to produce one of their patented offensive explosions.
