Everyone likes to talk about the weak points of baseball teams.  Boston has potential to be great but everyone says they don’t have the starting pitching depth or talent.  If you ask me about Boston’s weak point, it’s their manager.  Yesterday, Sale had 13 strikeouts and allowed 4 hits through 8 innings.  He was pulled for Kimbrel who let up a leadoff home run that didn’t allow Sale to get the win.

I know, Kimbrel is one of the top closers in the AL, bring him in to do his job and close the game.  Yes, I agree the Red Sox should have gave Sale more than one run of support.  However, Sale was an absolute monster and should not have been taken out of the game, plain-and-simple.  John Farrell is the problem in Boston and he is holding them back.

That was my rant for the day, now lets get to it as it’s Free Lineup Friday!

Low-Scoring Plays

Nationals @ Mets – Harvey takes the mound for New York, and he is 2-0 on the season with a mid-2 ERA.  He doesn’t average a ton of fantasy points but he is always a safe pick.  Roark pitches for the Nationals.  He, too, is pretty cheap and puts up the same numbers Harvey does.  With Cespedes going down last night I like Roark over Harvey.

Targets: Roark, Harper, Murphy
