We have a full schedule of games ahead of us,and we could have gone in multiple directions. Instead, both authors of this column actually landed on the same offense from one game.

A Note from Mario: Despite how great the rest of the week was, these picks fell short again at 1-3. I will continue to provide these picks as I see fit, but please do your research and play responsibly.

In the world of daily fantasy roster construction, ‘stacking’ players from the same team can often lead to big results. In this column of games to target in Week 14, Luke and Mario will give their thoughts on a few games that are worth watching for fantasy purposes, and whether they like the value or feel the game is getting too much attention.

Luke’s Top Games to Watch

Green Bay Packers at Detroit Lions

The Green Bay Packers’ offense ranks second in the league in total yards and ranks first in the league in points for. They have scored at least 30 points in nine of their twelve games, and have been held under 20 points just once this season. They are a near lock each and every week to put up plenty of yards and points, but giving them a matchup against a very weak defense gives me that much more confidence. The Lions defense ranks 28th in total yards allowed, 31st in points against and 30th in net yards allowed per pass attempts. It is hard to imagine any scenario in which the Packers don’t score somewhere around 30 points this week. If the Packers are scoring 30 points, that is going to make Matthew Stafford busy as he tries to keep his team in the game, which is something he is very familiar with. In very similar positions the last two weeks, Stafford has helped his team pile up over 800 yards of offense and 59 points. With that in mind, and the fact that both Stafford, and a slew of his important skill position players, is getting healthier, it seems likely that the Lions offense can have some success again this week. The Packers defense is pretty much the definition of average, and considering Stafford just had a monster game last week against a good Bears defense, there is no reason to be concerned about his matchup this week.

New Orleans Saints at Philadelphia Eagles

The current nine game win streak that the Saints are riding has been very impressive, and they deserve some credit for being able to continue the streak in the absence of Drew Brees over their last three games.
