Every column of Week 2 has some mention of the word “overreaction,” but it’s also important that we scale back and realize that we have less information than ever before from which we can draw conclusions. Usually, the preseason can be coupled with Week 1 to get a general sense of a team. Now, we truly only have 60 minutes from Week 1 as the guide for what to expect this weekend.

In the world of daily fantasy roster construction, ‘stacking’ players from the same team can often lead to big results. In this column of games to target in Week 2, Luke and Mario will give their thoughts on a few games that are worth watching for fantasy purposes, and whether they like the value or feel the game is getting too much attention.

Atlanta Falcons at Dallas Cowboys

This is by far the easiest game of the week to expect fireworks, and sometimes when it comes to fantasy football, the key is to not overthink things. We just saw what a talented offense can do to this weak Falcons defense, and there is no shortage of talent on the Cowboys’ offense. They have a bit of a hole now at tight end, but there is high-end talent at every other position, and more than enough to put up points early and often. In Dak Prescott’s young career, he has shown a propensity to beat up on weaker defenses and really pile on the stats, so look for a nice bounce back from this Cowboys offense at home. On the flip side, we saw exactly what the Falcons will do once their defense has given up a ton of points, and that is to let Matt Ryan throw at will. Ryan racked up impressive yardage last week playing from behind, and there is no reason to think that won’t be the case again. Anybody that is in line to catch passes for the Falcons is a great target to go in a game stack with some Cowboys players.
