One of the more surprising results of the first two weeks of the 2020 season is the amount of offense we have seen. Without a preseason, it would not have been a surprise if teams were slow to get back into their rhythm, but this has not been the case. As a result, many games have seen their over-under point totals creep higher over the course of the week.

A Note from Mario: A much better Week 2, in which these picks went 3-1. I will continue to provide these picks as I see fit, but please do your research and play responsibly.

In the world of daily fantasy roster construction, ‘stacking’ players from the same team can often lead to big results. In this column of games to target in Week 3, Luke and Mario will give their thoughts on a few games that are worth watching for fantasy purposes, and whether they like the value or feel the game is getting too much attention.

Cincinnati Bengals at Philadelphia Eagles

Admittedly, this was not a game that I originally felt like I would be high on at all. I have been down on the Eagles all season for a slew of reason, and the Bengals really have not shown a lot to make us believe they are more than a cellar dweller again this year. With that said, this game has grown on me, and I’m struggling to see how this game fails to produce points. The Eagles offense has enough talent that they should be able to score almost at will against this Bengals defense which is largely mediocre at best. The biggest issue thus far for the Eagles offensively has been turnovers, but the Bengals have forced just one turnover through two games, so that shouldn’t be a big issue this week. I see the Eagles scoring at will, and winning fairly easily, but as we saw last Thursday, the Bengals have no problem letting Joe Burrow throw a ton of passes to try and play keep up. While he wasn’t particularly efficient on his 61 attempts in that game, if Burrow is allowed to throw that often playing from behind, the Bengals will put up some points, and more importantly to us, their players will put up plenty of fantasy points.
